Everything that the members of the Eldritch Society hope and pray and believe about the Ta'ge fragments and The Forgotten Ones is correct.

There was no mistranslation, words viewed without proper context. The Information contained with in the Fragments though incomplete is largely accurate. The Forgetten Ones really are a group of Eldritch Beings that are positively disposed to mortal life on planet earth! And they left behind the Fragments, so that the information contained with in could aid humanity in it's time of greatest need! If The Influence of the Forgotten Ones could be brought to earth once more they would help and improve all mankind.

So what's the catch?

As positively disposed as The Forgotten Ones are, they remain vast and inhuman beings from beyond, The World Of Elements. Their definition of "help and improve" is not something that the majority of humanity would accept.

The Holy Warriors of The Eldritch Society the Taggers, born by performing the Rite of Sacred Union upon a mortal forever fusing them with a creature from beyond. And from an objective and none anthrocentric perspective Taggers have been "helped and improved". Without donning there Warforms Taggers are stronger faster and more
resilient than mere Mortals and in all probability are longer lived as well.

This is the help and Improvement that the Forgotten Ones have in mind for humanity. The Missing sections of the Tag'ge fragments would have explained this.

There are other types of Symbiots along with the Rituals needed to summon and bond them to a mortal. You see the beings that the Rite Of Sacred Union invokes are the warrior class of Symbiots or rather caste; and there are others.

So following in this theory there could be a laborer caste of symbiotes, a ruling caste (manipulation and mind control) and an arcane caste (casting magic spells using 'insert orgone battery here')

Fascinating

Whoever has the luck to be born a character can laugh even at death. Because a character will never die! A man will die, a writer, the instrument of creation: but what he has created will never die!”

It sounds cool, but it doesn't really fit with the Lovecraftian idea of gods who are more or less apathetic towards humans. Since apathy is about the closest we get to "good" in eldritch horror, it doesn't feel like the Forgotten Ones would do this. They may use mortals as pawns in their war against the Old Ones (like Tagers) but that's about it. But that's just my opinion. Whatever works for you, go with it.

So the Tager symbiotes are the vanguard of some kind of colonization force? Cool idea.

Not a colonization, more a software/hardware upgrade for humanity.

Love your Ideas. I was having trouble deciding what the other Class of Tagger Symbiont should be.

I know that it isn't really in genre with the CthulhuMythos or CthulhuTech.
However A little genre bending is an acceptable price for a better story. The Ta'ge Fragments being nothing more than an elaborate trap so that a set of Eldritch Horrors can get their tentacles and pseudopods on earth and humanity; Is the plot twist that everybody expects! and it being true would be a gigantic screw you to Tagger players and fans"guess what you guys have been helping the villains all along". Good verse evil is something that everybody is familiar with. Good vs Good however, your in deep and strange waters. In the case of The Forgotten Ones, the best twist is no twist at all. They really do want to "help" mortal life on earth and the Ta'ge Fragments were left to further that goal. However the Forgotten Ones are still Eldritch Horrors, so their definition of help is going to be at odds with human values.

And lastly another secret from the missing sections of the Ta'ge Fragments. Taggers are perfectly capable of breeding more of their kind,
it's just that no known Tagger has fulfilled the conditions necessary for reproduction.

OR there might be a reproducing caste, still to be ever summoned on Earth.
